How to install wooden doors?

1. Installation conditions

Wooden doors must be installed using the method of reserving openings, and it is strictly prohibited to build openings while installing. 3. Installation sequence

*Step 2: Assemble the door pocket. First, locate the door cover and vertical plate, align the joint according to the number on the back, and ensure that the opening is on the same plane. Apply glue to the joint.

Step 2: Install the door pocket. Place the firmly assembled door jamb into the door opening as a whole, and roughly fix it around with small wooden strips. The two sides of the door jamb should be in the same plane as the wall. Then, check whether the door jamb is vertical to the ground as a whole, whether the top plate of the door jamb is at right angles to the two vertical plates, and whether the vertical plate of the door jamb is bent. Twist the iron plates at both ends to wrap them around the wall.

Step 3: Install the door leaf. Open the hinge slot first, and the distance between the hinge slot and the two ends of the door leaf should be 1/10 of the height of the door leaf.

Step 4: Install the door lock. After installation, check whether the door leaves and door lock switches are flexible, whether the gaps are flexible, and whether the gaps meet the specifications.

Step 5: Install the door pocket wire. Cut the door pocket line with a right angle edge into a 45 degree angle, trim it with a carpenter's plane, insert the right angle edge into the door pocket groove, and use floor adhesive to firmly bond the door pocket line with the door pocket board.

Step 6: Install the door stopper in the corresponding position.

4. Installation techniques for wooden doors

When installing a wooden door, first check whether all components of the door are complete, whether the dimensions of each component are correct, and whether the corresponding positions assigned to each set of doors match the door opening ruler.

The installation techniques for wooden doors are as follows: Please place the goods horizontally on the ground before loading, and do not lean against them. Unpainted products should be painted within five days. Try to avoid prolonged exposure to outdoor sunlight and prevent wooden doors from getting heated. Maintain indoor air circulation and prevent wooden doors from being frequently damp. To prevent abnormal impacts on wooden doors, do not use excessive force when not closing. It is strictly prohibited to hang heavy objects on the door. Before installing the corner wall and T-shaped wall door opening, the customer should be notified to first create a "fake wall" on the side without the door stack, with a width of no less than 50mm. The width of the "fake wall" should be determined based on the width of the line. Otherwise, the door edge lines displayed on both sides will be asymmetric.

How to renovate an old wooden door?

Step 2, polish.

1. Use coarse sandpaper to polish all the areas that need to be painted, and be careful not to polish the corners too much to maintain the original shape of the wooden door.

2. Soak a cloth with water, make it semi wet, and wipe all the powder off the freshly polished wooden door.

3. Take fine sandpaper and polish it again, paying attention to the corners.

4. Then clean the powder with a damp cloth.

Step 3, brush the paint.

1. Take paint, brush, and open the paint cover.

2. Dip the brush in the paint bucket and don't get too much paint at once.

3. The rules for painting are from top to bottom and from left to right.

Step 4, air dry.

Leave the wooden door painted for four to five hours and wait for the paint to dry thoroughly.

Step 5, polish again.

After the paint dries thoroughly, use fine sandpaper to polish the wooden door again from beginning to end.

This polishing is to smooth out uneven areas on the paint and facilitate further painting.

Step 6: Brush the paint for the second time.

Follow the third step above to apply the second coat of paint.

Note that if the paint is too thick, an appropriate amount of rubber water can be added to dilute the paint before brushing.

Then continue to air dry and polish.

Step 7, apply the third coat of paint.

Step 8, install decorative items such as handles.

Install the decorative items that have been removed from the handle and other steps back.

How to clean and maintain wooden doors?

1. In spring, autumn, and winter, it is necessary to pay attention to good indoor ventilation, maintain indoor humidity, and keep wooden doors at normal room temperature and humidity to prevent deformation, cracking, corrosion of metal parts, edge sealing, and peeling of wooden door decorative materials due to excessive humidity and temperature difference.

2. Do not frequently use hands with water stains or other solutions to open wooden doors, to avoid discoloration of the door lock. 4. When painting walls, wooden doors should be covered to prevent paint from peeling off and fading the decorative materials on the product surface, which may affect the overall aesthetics.

5. Do not rub the edges and corners of wooden doors frequently to avoid fading and damage to the decorative materials at the edges and corners.

6. When removing stains on the surface of wooden doors, it is recommended to dampen them with air and wipe them with a soft cloth. Hard cloth can easily scratch the surface. When the stains are too heavy, neutral cleaning agents, toothpaste, or furniture cleaning agents can be used. After cleaning, immediately wipe them clean.
